CADTH Annual Report 2020–2021

November 23, 2021

The theme of the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health’s (CADTH) annual report for 2020-2021 was “unprecedented.” The authors review how the CADTH responded to the global COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the report pays extra attention to the efforts of the organization’s members, including methodologists, researchers, health economists, medical librarians, committees, and implementation support officers.

According to President and CEO Suzanne McGurn, “This year we have seen ultra-rapid assessments of new technologies; increased use of uncertain, evolving, and real-world evidence; and greater national and international coordination and collaboration. These have not only defined 2020-2021, but they are also becoming the new norm.”
