May 25, 2022

As more cases of monkeypox spring up across the world, the German government has ordered 40,000 doses of monkeypox vaccines from Bavarian Nordic. The vaccine manufacturer said that it is in talks with several world governments, each looking to vaccinate vulnerable populations and build its stockpiles in case the outbreak escalates further.

According to Tyler Patchen of Endpoints News, “As a consequence of the deal, of which any financial terms were not disclosed, the company is raising its expectations for its financial results for the year and is expecting revenue to be between DKK 1,300 and 1,500 million ($186 million-215 million), which was previously anticipated between DKK 1,100 and 1,400 million ($157 million-$200 million).”
