AstraZeneca Reaches $750 Million Deal to Support COVID-19 Vaccine

AstraZeneca reached a $750 million deal with the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) and the Gavi Vaccine Alliance as it works to ensure equal access to the University of Oxford’s COVID-19 vaccine, PMLiVE reports.

The deal comes as AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford aim to roll out 300 million vaccines by the end of the year, according to the report.

“We are working tirelessly to honour our commitment to ensure broad and equitable access to Oxford’s vaccine across the globe and at no profit,” AstraZeneca CEO Pascal Soriot said.
