Associate Editor Roles – IJTAHC

January 20, 2021

The International Journal of Technology Assessment in Health Care (IJTAHC) is a journal of Cambridge University Press and a key platform for the Society, Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi). We are calling for new Associate Editors to participate in the editorial process and develop the journal. Suitable candidates with considerable experience in HTA and evidencebased medicine are invited to apply. Clinical experience or additional expertise in some of the following areas would also be useful: health economics, systematic reviews, statistics, or health policy.

Applicants would be expected to have a good publication record and excellent English writing skills. Additionally, please highlight your connection to/knowledge of HTA. In this role you would be expected to manage around 12 articles per year, finding reviewers and making recommendations to the Deputy Editor, as well as provide some reviews as necessary. It will require regular activity on the journal website to facilitate a rapid review process, for which we are trying to improve the timeframe. The estimated time required is in the order of 2 to 3 hours per week.

This is a voluntary role and thus there is no remuneration, however there is recognition as both an editor and a reviewer. If you are interested, please submit a short application letter with a brief CV showing your publication record and any reviewer or editorial experience. Please submit applications to the Editor-in-Chief of IJTAHC, Wendy Babidge (wendy.babidge@adam.com.au) The closing date for application is: 31 January 2021
