Anthem Pledges $2.5 Billion in Aid to Members, Providers

Anthem is offering $2.5 billion in financial aid in an effort to cushion the blow from COVID-19 for customers and providers, FierceHealthcare reports.

According to the report, the financial credits will be available next month.

“Consumers, care providers and our local communities are all feeling the impact of the pandemic and the current social unrest,” Anthem CEO Gail Boudreaux said in a statement. “We are deeply committed to serving those who count on us as their healthcare partner, now more than ever.”
