Amgen and Syapse on Thursday, May 3, announced a new partnership aimed at developing observational research analytics to “assess treatment areas of unmet need in oncology,” the American Journal of Managed Care (AJMC) reports.
According to the report, the venture will offer Syapse Network members exclusive access to research opportunities, while Amgen will be in a position to receive real-world evidence that could be used in Food and Drug Administration (FDA) filings.
“As cancer remains one of the leading causes of death around the world, emerging software and data analytic tools are creating exciting opportunities to more rapidly develop and deliver targeted treatment options to patients,” Amgen’s Mike Nohaile said in a statement.
