Amazon’s entrance into the health care arena has not been without significant challenges, and licensing issues have proven to be a thorn in the tech giant’s side.
According to a STAT report, PillPack, which Amazon bought out for some $1 billion, hit a speed bump when it sought a pharmacy license in New Mexico. The company’s first attempt was denied Nov. 2 resulting from incomplete information.
