Aetion Researchers Highlight RWE Best Practices

Aetion researchers discuss their recent article, published in the Journal of Comparative Effectiveness Research. The work is a result of a collaboration with scientists at Amgen, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), and the European Medicines Agency (EMA). While real world evidence (RWE) applications remain promising, RWE and real world data (RWD) present many significant challenges that must be overcome.

“Comprehensive guidance is necessary to define the best practices and standards that lead to high quality, decision-grade RWE generation. While the field has made substantial progress in defining some components of RWE, we’ve highlighted gaps that would benefit from additional demonstration projects and recommendations.” Read more here.
