Blog Post Urges Greater Understanding of Patient Experience Regarding De-implementation

A recent blog post on AcademyHealth says it is imperative to further study how patients deal with de-implementation.

The authors, UCLA’s Erin Hahn and Washington University School of Medicine’s Beth Prusaczyk, write that the “patient experience of de-implementation is critically understudied.”

“Researchers, clinicians, and policymakers must engage in this important work with an understanding of patients’ priorities and how they impact the causes and solutions to the use of low-value care,” they write.
