The Feb. 1 kickoff event for a new multi-year project by Health Affairs and the National Pharmaceutical Council is rapidly approaching, but registration remains open.
According to an email announcement, the event, which will mark the official launch of the project focused on health spending, is slated to being 9 a.m. Feb. 1 at the National Press Club in Washington.
“Panels will discuss what we know about health care spending, examine the effectiveness of current efforts to improve value, and explore how various sectors are responding to high levels of health care spending,” the emails says.
Confirmed speakers include:
- University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy Dean Katherine Baicker;
- Dartmouth Institute Professor Amber Barnato;
- Kaiser Family Foundation Senior Vice President for Executive Operations MollyAnn Brodie; and
- Vanderbilt University School of Medicine Chair of the Department Health Policy Melinda Buntin.
