Health care costs, namely prescription drug prices, are expected to be a key issue discussed during President Donald Trump’s second State of the Union address on Tuesday, Feb. 5, STAT reports.
The White House in a preview of the speech highlighted health costs, among other things.
Trump’s SOTU comes on the heels of a recent proposal by the administration to eliminate the rebate system used by pharmaceutical companies and pharmacy benefit managers. The administration proposed a system that would shift those savings directly to consumers.
