President Donald Trump and Democrats during a recent meeting agreed that both parties should work together toward bipartisan solutions to lower drug prices, The Hill reports.
White House Press Secretary Sarah said the discussion at the White House meeting led to some agreement about meeting again on the matter.
Sen. Ron Wyden told The Hill that while the discussion “did not focus on any specific bill,” there was consensus that the matter was an “important” one.
“They discussed prescription drugs for some time and agreed they ought to be able to get that done,” a person familiar with the discussion told The Hill.
