The Trump administration is expected to use executive power to bring more transparency into health care prices, according to an article on Forbes.
According to the report, the order would force price disclosures throughout the industry and give power to federal agencies to enforce the regulations.
The administration on Jan. 1 required hospitals to post prices online in large collections called “chargemasters” in a bid to boost price transparency, but the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has not been enforcing the rule.
