As the GOP’s version of the Affordable Care Act awaits future Senate action, and much remains uncertain, there are three trends in the current health care system which will undoubedtly remain unchanged.
For one, health care services will continue to expand as the U.S. population ages, and the pressure will be on providers to devlope efficient methods to deliver those services.
Technology will also remain a crucial factor in health outcomes, treatment decisions and quality-of-care assessment. Roughly 9 out of 10 physicians utilize electronic health records, which provide vast amounts of data to bolster those efforts.
