The QPP was created through the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015. The program aims to offer Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements to physicians based on a value-based model.
According to an MM&M report, the survey found only a quarter of the participants were comfortable with the transition into QPP.
“Whether you’re a small or solo group practice, urban, rural, or suburban, the large majority were not really aware of the impact of the policy and the changes, and weren’t really prepared for the implementation,” Haymarket Medical Education General Manager Matthew Holland said.
