Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy is slated to deliver the keynote address at the upcoming World Health Care Congress 2019 meeting in Washington.
The event is scheduled for April 28-May 1.
According to a press release, Cassidy will discuss how the legislature is approaching the burdensome costs of health care for Americans.
“For nearly three decades, Senator Cassidy has provided care for uninsured and underinsured patients in Louisiana’s charity hospital system,” the release states. “During this time, he co-founded the Greater Baton Rouge Community Clinic, a clinic providing free dental and health care to the working uninsured.”
