A new suite of legislative proposals expected to be introduced by House Democrats will look to capitalize on issues which have also received Republican support, according to a report from The Hill.
Democrats will likely face ongoing pressure from progressives, according to the report, who put them in charge of the House to take action on drug prices.
“Candidates ran on the promise to lower drug prices and eight in 10 voters think lowering drug prices should be Congress’s top priority,” Patients for Affordable Drugs Executive Direction Ben Wakana said.
A top priority, a measure which has received solid Republican backing, is the Creates Act, which looks to crack down on drug companies that delay generic competitors.
