Podcast Dives Into Cost-Sharing Provision of CARES Act

April 8, 2020

Attorney Doug Aldeen and Quizzify Founder Al Lewis in a Relentless Health Value podcast discuss a cost-sharing provision contained in the Trump administration’s Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.

The CARES Act, which is responsible for the $2 trillion stimulus package, includes a provision that bars cost-sharing for COVID-19 testing.

“The thing is, hospitals and diagnostic testing companies can essentially basically name their price on COVID-19 tests; and employers and insurers will be required to pay for it,” a description of the podcast states. “This is in Section 3202, the Price of Diagnostic Testing, in that CARES Act.”
