Patients for Affordable Drugs is asking supporters to support a bipartisan bill in the U.S. Senate which targets “pay-for-delay” practices in pharma.
The organization says pharmaceutical companies use this tactic to “keep cheaper generics off the market.”
“It’s hurting patients who can’t afford to wait any longer for low-cost alternatives,” the organization’s executive director, Ben Wakana, says in the release.
The bill, SB 124, was introduced by Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Chuck Grassley.
