Britain’s National Health Service is something that most Briton’s take great pride in, but the recent case of 5 year old Ashya King has horrified the British public. After the NHS refused a cancer treatment for the boy, the parents left the country determined to get their son the treatment they felt he needed, proton beam therapy. The NHS’s handling of the case turned into an international hunt for the parents, their eventual arrest and separation from their ill son. Read more here.
