U.S. policymakers are reaching across the aisle in an effort to come to a bipartisan solution to lower health care costs, the Associated Press reports.
Legislators are looking at a number of issues, including surprise medical bills, high drug prices and prescription copays for Medicare patients.
“Frankly, the issue is so urgent for Americans who are facing increasing drug costs that to us it’s really not about who gets the credit,” Rep. Diana Degette, a Democrat, tells AP. “It’s about what kind of relief we can give to consumers.”
