Fein Highlights CMS Spending Report

Drug Channels Institute CEO Adam Fein in a recent blog post writes that the latest forecast for National Health Expenditures from CMS offers a pre-pandemic look at health costs.

CMS had originally projected health spending to rise from $3.6 trillion to $5 trillion between 2018-2024, with spending on hospitals and professional services expected to grow by a combined $800 billion.

“Unfortunately, the coronavirus almost immediately made these predictions obsolete,” Fein writes.
