Sen. Bernie Sanders’ Medicare for All proposal is making waves through the government, with Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand having recently joined the push. However, some feel Sanders’ proposal is taking the wrong approach.
“Well, I would hope not,” Price said when asked if the bill had a chance to become law. “And I think that the vast majority of the American people would hope not.”
Price said the issue isn’t universal health coverage, but that health care should focus entirely on the patient, and be less “government-centered.”
“All of us want folks to, everybody, to have health care and health coverage, but in Medicare there are one out of eight physicians in this nation who ought to be seeing Medicare patients who don’t because of the rules and the regulations through Medicare.”
