Jill Dosik, Global Scientific Communications and Message Impact president, says communication is key as the issue of drug pricing continues to be a source of contention in the health care industry.
“Communications can play an important role in a number of ways,” Dosik writes in a report published on The Holmes Report. “Each drug, each technology, each disease area has its own nuances, but there are a few consistent general principles.”
Dosik says it’s crucial to create engagement among stakeholders regarding needs and concerns.
“When possible, solicit input from physicians, payers, patient advocates, patients and caregivers-directly,” she says. “Patient insight and third-party perspective can be immeasurably helpful in communicating a therapy’s value and differentiation.”
