An alliance of conservative groups are urging lawmakers not to include stabilization provisions for the Affordable Care Act in the upcoming omnibus spending bill.
According to an InsideHealthPolicy report, the 15 groups are asking congress to reject “bailouts for private health insurance companies” and keep pushing to repeal the health care law.
The groups say new funding for “reinsurance, invisible high-risk pools and cost-sharing reduction payments to insurers” will have no positive impact on the markets, nor put more money in the government’s coffer.
