A recent report by the San Francisco Chronicle offers a look at California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s proposal for reducing the state’s drug costs.
According to the report, the proposal would take over the role of negotiating down drug prices for the some 13 million people on California’s Medicaid plan, Medi-Cal.
Ramon Castellblanch, a professor emeritus at San Francisco State University, tells the Chronicle the proposal is “a step in the right direction.”
