After years of decline, drugmakers’ price hikes may have bottomed out

Dive Brief: Pharmaceutical companies have raised the list prices of many of their drugs by about 5% to open 2022, roughly in keeping with recent years’ trend but significantly less than in the early and mid-2010s. Drugmakers typically take price increases on their products in the first part of January. Reports from GoodRx and analysts at investment bank Raymond James estimated average list price increases of 5% and 4.5%, respectively, based on analyses of about 500 and 1,600 drugs.
