Republican senators are in the midst of creating a new health care bill, and have been tight-lipped from the start about details and any similarities to the House of Representatives’ initial proposal approved in May.
In an effort to facilitate the public’s increased involvement in the process, Refinery29 shared a list of senators to contact about the proposal. The list was originally contained in a tweet by Center for American Progress (CAP) Senior Fellow Topher Spiro.
Refinery29 added it’s important to track down contact details for other policymakers, as the list provides the phone number for only 12 senators.
According to a Congressional Budget Office report of the House’s proposal, roughly 23 million people would be without health coverage by 2026.
